Conditional Registration "Club Rego"
HK HT HG Owners Car Club of SA Inc. is authorised by the Registrar of Motor Vehicles to approve historic and left hand drive vehicles for conditional 'club registration'.
If you wish to include your pre-1980 classic vehicle under the Club Registration scheme you must become a HK HT HG Owners Car Club of SA club Financial member, and complete a Rego application with one of clubs Rego Officers.
New Financial Club Member Fee $55 – until 30th June 2024
Member Renewal Fee $ 30 – per financial year
Club Registration Application Fee - $10 per MR334/vehicle = Per financial year
What you will need:-
* Registration Details Certificate for vehicle ID details (VIN, engine number etc.)
* Drivers Licence
* Pics of your vehicle if it can not be viewed - At Least 4 Pictures

Front 3/4 photo showing current number plate, front of the vehicle and one side

Rear 3/4 photo showing the rear of the vehicle and opposite side to front shot

Clear engine bay shot

Interior shot of at least the front area (seats and dash)
* If your vehicle is a left hand drive or a street rod you will be required to show the LHD Exemption Certificate / Compliance Certificate.
When it comes time to renew your membership/logbook you will be able to do so at a HKTG Club SA Monthly meeting or HKTG Club SA Event/Cruise, or by prior arrangement with one of the registration officers.

Historic Vehicles in South Australia operate under a system of Conditional Registration.
Incorporated in Section 25 of the Motor Vehicles Act as amended in 1991, the scheme came into operation in February 1992 and allows prescribed vehicles more than thirty years old to be operated without registration fee for a period not to exceed ninety days in one registration year.
To qualify a vehicle must comply with the requirements of the Road Traffic Act, be more than thirty years old and the owner must be, and remain, a financial member of a recognised club.
